12/6-26th Craziness
12/7- Went to Oasis Cafe, back to Minnehaha Falls to show Joe, Lake St. Croix overlook, Cold Water Spring to get my NP stamp in our passport book! National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
12/8- Last day here and the Christmas movie for tonight was Christmas in July.
12/9- Said goodbye to our house in Afton and headed home for our straight 13 hour drive. Figaro did fine and stayed in his cage the whole time. I never saw him once. Cherry was a mess. She couldn't leave my side. I felt so bad. We got to Patti's and brought all of our stuff inside but I saved that for tomorrow. The cats felt better once they were here. Joe got me a wine advent calendar that I have to catch up on.
12/10- I put everything away and organized what I could. We relaxed all day. Watched White Christmas.
12/11- We went to Kall Christmas Tree Farm to pick out a tree. We had a little kitten run up to us and help us the whole time we were here. I wish I could have taken him home lol. We got back and set-up the tree, decorated, had hot chocolate, did some lights, watched a Christmas movie.
12/12- Took my car in for a new battery and some other things. Finally got a car wash and checked out the new Parma wash. My heat plate is completely come off the bottom of my car now. Not sure how the guys who did my oil and stuff didn't catch that.
12/13- Nothing much.
12/14- Went to Gandalf's for Joey's birthday and to meet Danielle and the baby. We had a good time. Went back to Kevin's for a fire and then headed out. Ended up going to B's to say hello to everyone and hangout some more.
12/15- Laundry and such.
12/16- Went to a boutique with Alyssa and Brooke to get permanent jewelry. Walked around the area and went into some cute shops. Ate and had a few drinks at Happy Dog. Went back to my place and Brooke took me to her house. I got to see what they did with the upstairs so far. Hung out with Delaney and had a fire. Found a lost dog. Met the neighbors. Played games. Watched Christmas movies. I slept over.
12/17- Had a tea party when we woke up. Hung around until Joe came to pick me up. Today's his 30th birthday! Patti made him a dinner and we hung out.
12/18- Caught up on posts and stuff.
12/19- Went to the Richfield Heritage Preserve to hike. First time we've had real snow and it's going to be gone so we had to get a winter walk in. Kirby's Mill is now complete but it was obviously not running when we were there. Sad face lol. The moon was pretty tonight. Watched Prancer.
12/20- Made Gingerbread men. Started my other Colleen book, Without Merit. Watched Annabell's Wish.
12/21- Went to Brook'e to finish up my scrapbook. Listened to music. Got everything done and ready.
12/22- Went to see Trans-siberian Orchestra downtown. Thankfully Joe's mom was able to drive up and pick us up because it was so hectic downtown. The show was pretty great. We had awesome seats and the light show was nice. The fire was cool too. Drinks are $16 each now! How insane, we thought $10 was bad back then lol. Ooooooo-weeee. They did a whole Cleveland Rocks song at the end. Show was at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse- so awful lol.
12/23- Ran around on one of the busiest shopping days and finished all our gifts and even went to the grocery store and I scored some Christmas Ale. Watched the cartoon version on Disney of A Christmas Story. Also found out our trailer is done and ready to be picked up. The guy ended up working it out to where we only have to pay sales tax. Probably putting it in storage down the street from the shop until we are ready to leave Ohio.
12/24- Cleaned and helped out as much as I could before leaving. Went to my parent's and headed over to my aunt's. Dinner was good and the gifts were nice. It was calm and relaxing. Perfect. Got back to Joe's and we all opened up gifts. Everything was so nice. Watched The Holiday.
12/25- Made my macaroni for my brother and for Joe's family. Went to my parent's. Had a nice little Christmas and showed them my scrapbook. Came back to Joe's. Helped with dinner. Ate. Played games. Watched some of Home Alone 2.
12/26- Recovery day from the holidays.
