Friday October 27th
I went back to the beach park across the street and admired the colored trees. It was super windy last night so most of the leaves have fallen. And just like that fall is almost over. I dropped off some more mail at the mailbox and walked back to the house through town. Joe's buddy who gave us the firewood for our fireplace only asked for payment in oatmeal raisin cookies. So I made a huge batch of those for Joe to take to work tomorrow.
Saturday October 28th
Cherry was in her loving mood. She was so needy today and had to go outside multiple times lol. I did some reading and laundry today. I made Joe some chicken gumbo, as he calls it. I really just made up a soup and hoped for the best. We watched more of the Sopranos and heard a bunch of ruckus downstairs. The cats caught a mouse. Well, they were more so playing with a mouse. Figaro kept bopping the little guy and the mouse was squeaking for dear life. We ended up letting him back outside. He either died out there because it was so cold or he came back inside. If he's back in here he will be more cautious next time lol.

Sunday October 29th
Joe has this Sunday, next Saturday, and the next Sunday off of work. After these days off they will go back to their normal shift. This is a good and bad thing. Good thing because we can hangout and he can explore a little bit. Bad thing because he is missing out on overtime. They kind of screwed his crew and the other crews have more hours. We went back to the Old Mill Park so he can see everything. We walked the love lock bridge over to the Vermillion Falls and did a little more of the paved trail. We went into historic downtown Hastings to check out the antique stores. They were hosting some type of Halloween event in the streets and had everything closed. It looked like a lot of fun! The antique stores here had a lot of good finds. I got Delaney a Jimmy Buffet shirt and I got some rings. Joe found pipes here too. We had to run to Walmart for a few things and then headed back home. We went outside and took the pictures in our pumpkin heads. I edited a few videos and posted them. We started watching another Lord of the Rings.....I'm almost done with the series and I can't wait for it to be over with already!!!!!! Such a bad series.
We also watched the new South Park. Disney is suing them over it so we wanted to see it before they might take it down. Very good.
Sucks that people spray paint rocks and trees now..
I see this on lots of the bridges here. Not sure why they're trying to make this a thing lol.

Monday October 30th
We've officially been here for a month now. I miss the trailer more every day lol. I made chocolate pretzels for Joe's crew for Halloween tomorrow. It's a lot harder to do chocolate pretzels than it looks! Haha.

Tuesday October 31st! Happy Halloween!
No trick-or-treaters. I made a pasta chicken bake for Joe. Watched The Sopranos. Also had another brand reach out to send product for some social media posts. So that's nice.
Wednesday November 1st, Happy November!
Went with Joe so that I could have the car. Picked up some things at the grocery on my way back home. Ate breakfast and did some stuff around the house. Went to Willow State Park to check out Willow Falls. I parked by the boat launch because I read it's a more scenic and easier trail getting to the falls that way instead of the falls trail at the parking lot for the falls. This park is super nice and had 3 campgrounds. I would love to come here and camp one day. The trail was nice. Fall leaves along with some snow. You follow the river here and there and then you come out to the falls. I could hear them from so far away, sounded like car traffic, they were so loud. The falls are stunning. I stayed here for awhile. Then I headed to the Union Hall so I could get Joe some shirts. They're closed the weekends and once he gets off of work. I was able to find two shirts for him and a cute long sleeve for me. The lady working said that her son can't say the pledge at school anymore so she sends him in these shirts since they have the pledge on the back of them. I think that's so weird that they can't say the pledge? The world is becoming a scary place. I stopped at the apothecary, it's inside of this sketchy mall. I ended up leaving lol. Stopped at the fancy grocery store on the way home for some things. Joe had leftovers and I made bruschetta and a cheese board.
There's an overlook on the left side of the bridge but it was closed for repairs.
The cats are always checking out everything that I get lol.
Thursday November 2nd
People are finally getting their stickers in the mail! I'm so excited seeing everyone post them. The cats have been trying to get under the fireplace in the bedroom most of the day. I heard something in the are that sounded like a literal raccoon in the walls. So they're trying to get whatever is lurking around. I wanted to do a deep clean today but the vacuum has something wrong with it and sounds like it's going to explode lol. So Joe has to look at it when he's home. I'm going to make chicken and dumplings. The cats also just caught another mouse and somehow lost him. So this will be fun lol.
