Wednesday October 18th
Nothing significant happened today. I've been wanting to make a sticker for our travels, so that we could trade with others in the community, for awhile now. I was in the mood to create so I went ahead and gave it a shot. Took me a long time but I finally got something that I am pretty proud of. Finalized the design and asked around about where I should get the stickers printed. Sticker Mule and one of the other popular ones was so expensive. Someone on our Instagram suggested StickerApp, I went with this company. Cheaper and seems to be of the same quality. So we will see. Joe's crew each takes turns on suggesting what I bake. One guy wants peanut butter cookies. Joe told the guy that since he doesn't like them, I won't make them. But I forgot how much I love peanut butter cookies lol. So I made a batch for me and for the guys.
Here she is! The 'imagine that' is still driving me nuts but if I look at it from a far, I don't mind it lol.
Wonky girl on her chair in the window spot.
She is the sweetest!
I also got out my scrapbook stuff and gave it a shot. My creative juices were no longer flowing, put her away lol.
Thursday October 19th
I wanted to do a hike today since I was going to have the truck for errands. I remembered someone mentions Barn Bluff in Red Wing. Since I'm already half way there when I drop Joe off, I decided to check it out. I got there around 9am and there was nobody there. The leaves were peak color and although I was smack dab in the city, I couldn't tell. So much nature- I felt secluded. Perfect weather as well. I loved this hike. Lots of uphill but it wasn't too bad. To get to the very top you had to hold on to a rope and kind of walk along a cliff. Which I wasn't fond us, but I did it! Once I was at the top I felt some sort of peacefulness come over me. Such a wonderful hike. I came across two others on my way down. Once I did our grocery shopping I stopped at a quick waterfall on the way back to the house. Super short walk from the parking lot and next to a mill of some kind. For being in a populated area it was a pretty waterfall and there was no trash or graffiti. Which was nice. I stopped at the farmers on the way to get Joe. So that I could watch the sunset, again. It's just too good to pass up. Joe ended up being one hour late because they got tied up doing something. I almost fell asleep in the lot waiting for him lol.

Overlooking Red Wing
Ohio vibes
Most of these stairs moved when you touched them. Kind of scary lol.
The park across from here is Memorial Park.
Vermillion Falls
We drive over this bridge everyday. This is the Mississippi and I spotted this park on my way back to the house. I went to check it out so I could get a closer view of the bridge. Picture doesn't do justice but the bridge is pretty cool lol.
My little devil boy
My sunset stop!
Always so good.
I've been making these boards like crazy. At first I didn't care for presentation but now I'm starting to care lol.
Friday October 20th
The nuclear power plant is having some difficulties. Joe woke up and was called off of work! So we were able to hangout for the day. Plus he still got paid. I showed him around the small town we are staying in. We went to my favorite park. Walked along the town and went into the small shops. Got some food and drinks at The Lumberyard and also won $300 on pull-tabs lol. Walked back the scenic route and hung out outside a little bit with Cherry. We also peeked in the treehouse here...uhmmmmmm....I'll explain my findings at a later date lol..... Made dinner, got my water bottle in the mail (content), watched The Sopranos.
So pretty. I really am going to miss this place when we move lol.
I will never get over this view.
$300! Only spent $25.
This was delish. With a homemade raspberry honey dressing.
Joe got a Chicago Dog. Said it was good but he likes the way he makes them better.
I was once obsessed with Moscow Mules. Had to travel back in time lol.
Both picnic tables at this park have really good quotes on them.
We love a good tree lol.
The water bottle that I will be testing out. I'm pretty excited.
Saturday October 21st
Took Cherry outside so she could get her fix. I attempted to create content for the water bottle. I did some stuff out here by the creek in front of our yard. I went to the park and did some stuff by the river. I ended up hating everything. I got a few good pictures though. I was also able to test out the bottle and the filter is crazy. I drank water from the stream, river, and a puddle. Clear and tasted normal. Felt fine the rest of the day too. This is perfect for Joe's collection since he's a prepper lol. Dinner, baked, and The Sopranos.
"Mother......"
"Let me live!!!!!!!!"
I felt like people were hiding in the trees watching me lol.
Sunday October 22nd
I took the truck so that I could attempt getting more content for the water bottle. I also wanted to check out Memorial Park in Red Wing. Ran to Walmart for a few things as well. I parked on the street for the park and walked up lots of stairs and got to the top to overlook the rest of Red Wing. Amazing views and the clouds were like a blanket over the colorful trees. Everything looked stunning. I checked out the main points in the park and then was on my way. I got back to the house and Joe said they were getting out early because there was nothing else they could do at the plant. So I went all the way back lol. We didn't do much but watch The Sopranos. We are addicted lol. Once sunset came around we went to Afton State Park so we could watch her set. The moon was pretty too.

You can't tell but after this hill, it's a straight shot down. I felt like I was going to take a tumble to get back to the truck lol.
I loved Caribou Coffee when they had it in Ohio. I don't know why they got rid of it.
I took lots of photos of the sunset but nothing did any justice. You had to be there.
I love how the town is nestled into the trees.
Monday October 23rd
Our stickers came! I collected everyone's address who wanted one sent to them. I wrote the letters and put the stickers inside the envelopes. I took Joe's truck when he got back so that I could drop them off in the mail. It had been storming all day so I couldn't go walk to the mailbox. I also created my reel for the water bottle today. Chill day. More Sopranos.
When there was a lull in the rain I did a short walk. This is the cute little ice cream shop that everyone raves about. We still haven't tried it yet.
I'm going to make the guys chocolate pretzels for Halloween.
Figaro was sleeping with tongue out for awhile. Joe was playing with it and Figaro didn't even move. I was starting to think he was dead so I shook him awake. Then he was licking his cops wondering what her was tasting lol.
Tuesday October 24th
Another rainy day. Cleaned around the house. Did an everything shower. Hung out with the cats. Caught up on content for social media. Wrote some letters to friends back in Ohio. Starting a whole penpal thing. Event hough they're not strangers lol. But, I love mail, so this will be nice!! I messed around in the kitchen a lot. Cooking. Baking. The Sopranos.
My shirt finally came. I'd like to wear it for trick-or-treaters but I don't think we will get any because of our location being so far into the woods.
Wednesday October 25th
Planned a grocery list. Made Joe an extra crazy lunch. Took a walk. Read some. Laundry. Came up with a white bean, chicken, rice, and potato soup. Joe loved it. I made lots so that there will be leftovers. Cats have been staying up all night staring at the cabinets in the kitchen. There's noises in the walls and critters are totally trying to come inside. It drives them nuts. This was the first day in about a week that they rested during the day and all night lol.

I stare at this barn when I come back from my walks. I love the yellows against the red of the barn.
Thursday October 26th
Woke up with Joe so that I could have the truck for the day. I went to Old Mill Park and another one down the road from there. Old Mill Park is old ruins of a mill that was once there. A flour mill. It is said that it burned down because of arson. This was never proven though. It's an interesting place and I'd love to explore more. I didn't have the right shoes and it had been raining. It's on my way back to the house so I'll go back another day. There is graffiti all over the building remains, which kind of sucks. Would be different if it was are graffiti and not a bunch of HS graffiti. The park down the road from here is nice for a short walk, nothing crazy. BUT the leaves and the mushrooms here were out of this world!I was going to go to the library to print our voting stuff. I didn't have to because I was able to get the printer here working. I still wanted to go because it has a river and waterfall going through the premise. I'll save it for another day though. Went to Walmart and did a huge shopping run. I was able to finally find the snail stuff people have been raving about! So I'm excited for that. A lot of bulk items were on sale and they were all what we use. So that was a nice surprise. I got Cherry a self heating blanket because Figaro keeps taking her heated vent spot. So far she is loving it and Figaro thinks it's just another old blanket. We will see how long this lasts. I'm going to try out McDonald griddle bites for Joe to take to work in the mornings. I don't think I'll mess around with anything else. Just eat leftovers once he's home. We are going to carve our pumpkins today. I wish they had Charlie Brown The Great Pumpkin on a streaming service so we could watch that as well. But, they don't, just Apple TV. I can't get my phone to mirror to the TV and the app isn't on this TV or Xbox. I am going to look up a pumpkin seed recipe though. I will also probably save the guts for the critters outside. I can't believe we've already been here for a month. It's supposed to snow on Saturday, woo! I can't wait to see this place covered in snow and to watch the critters from the dining room full of windows.

Look at those!
So much yellow. But I miss seeing all the red in Ohio.
Chicken butt!
They got me π

I just love Alice in Wonderland
The old flour mill.
Ruins.
So many good mushies.
Love this picture!! Mushrooms are so amazing.
