/22- 9/30
nd- Had a mediterranean dinner for Patti's birthday!
rd- Went to Brandywine Falls but did the whole trail this time instead of parking in the lot and walking right to the falls. There were so many people. The lot for the falls was filled with a circle of cars waiting to get in. I've never seen it like that lol. The falls were also super low, I've always seen the falls when the water was rushing. Found an abandoned cabin in the woods on the walk back to my car.
th- Went to Majestic Oak Winery in Grand Rapids, OH. We met at JT's house and Alyssa drove us. The winery was so cute and in the middle of the country. Super peaceful and the wine was super good. Live music was going and we sat under the literal majestic oak and took it all in. I loved it. Then we went to GardenView Flowers to do the U-Pick. Originally it was $15 but the lady said since it's the end of the season they're now charging $5, which was nice. Everything is self-serve, awesome vibes. We paid and got our clippers and explored the three flower fields and took a bunch of pictures. They also had a cute little shop and some pumpkins on a wagon for sale. We sat down and clipped our flowers and adjusted them how we pleased. Drove home and played some good tunes. It was a very nice day.
th- Made some content for Instagram and TikTok. Tried to make homemade snickerdoodle cookies, they were good but not the best lol.
th- Patti is on vacation so we've been watching the house and Abigail. Joe stays downstairs with her and sleeps with her since she can't be alone. I'm still worried about her and Figaro and being in the room with us when we are sleep isn't the safest thing. I feel lol.
th- Went back to the trailer to get the rest of our stuff out of it. Turns out that the parts for the awning won't be here until the middle of October. So he's keeping the trailer until he can fix it and then his uncle owns the storage down the street, he'll bring it there for us when he's done. Then we will start paying for storage. It worked out since we couldn't take the trailer with us to Minnesota anyways. We ended up going with the cottage Airbnb in Afton. So cute. Later in the day I went to JT's to hangout with Brooke before I leave again. We had a fire and talked and then went back in time to our "gangster" days and were listening to all the old rap we used to jam to lol. It was fun.
th- Went to my aunt's house to drop off my car. Didn't do too much today.
th- Patti made stuffed shells for our goodbye dinner. Super good. We also spent the day packing and figuring out how we are going to stack everything in the truck bed. Another company reached out to me on Instagram and wanted to send us stuff but it's all for RVs and we won't have ours. So I told them to keep me in mind around January when we are back with the RV.
th- We drove the whole 11 hours straight to our Airbnb. The cats did a lot better than I thought they would. They were still stressed when we initially got them in the truck. mainly because it was still dark, we left around 6am. I feel like they like the truck better when we are not pulling the trailer. We managed to fit majority of the items we wanted to bring in Joe's truck. We only made three stops and arrived around 4:30pm. We checked the place out and got the cats settled the best that we could. They can smell all the other people and dogs that've stayed here so it was a lot. They are also in a new environment and it's an older house so there's lots of sounds and critters. Cherry warmed up a lot more than Figaro. He was mostly in hiding. I made food and put the bins in the one spare room for right now. We all slept in bed at night, so that was a good sign. The cats also finally ate and drank later in the day. The lady we are renting from stopped over to say hi and give us a tour of some things and answer any questions we had. She was nice and she mentioned that she lived in Asia for 30 years and now rents this cottage out so she can go travel this country. Her friend does sprinter van conversions and she really wants one.
