September 21st
On the 19th we called the campground and there was no availability. I searched for other campgrounds in the area and 1-2 hours away. None of them are open the timeframe of the shutdown. Also no heated plumbing. I was looking on airbnb and I found a place to stay that is a little more then if Joe were to stay in a hotel. Airbnb has rooms, kitchen, laundry, and a yard. So it's the best bet. We will pick the trailer up (fixed or not) and put it back in storage. This time we will have it winterized. I have to get the rest of our stuff out of there now. We have to also fit everything we want to bring in the back of Joe's bed of the truck. Soooo, not excited about this but if we get totes I should be fine lol. The cats can come as well. I think they will like having a cottage in the woods. I'll be able to try and make pasties for the guys at work and see how that goes.
On the 20th I went with my mom, grandma, and brother to a few shops in Medina and a picnic. I also got some paintings from my grandpa. They're very cute and I love them! It is always a good time hanging out with them. I was also able to pickup my Dad's sourdough starter. We will see if I can revive it. Patti's birthday was also today!
Today I went to get the cats their wet and dry food, treats, gravies, and cat grass. Cherry loved the grass. Figaro doesn't care for it he just wants gravy lol. I also am doing a giveaway with a company for the first time on my Instagram! I'm pretty excited. I got to have the package sent to Minnesota because it won't get here for another 7 days. Not having the trailer in storage and not being packed and ready to go has me feeling scrambled. My mom got me some anxiety spray for cats to try on them in the truck when we make the drive to our 2 month stay. Joe wants to leave on the 30th and get there with a day to spare and hangout. 12 hours is a lot of driving. We will see what happens. I might be going to scrapbook at Brooke's tomorrow. What ever I don't finish I'm going to take with us to the cottage. I need to write down in my planner so I have a more clear idea of what's going on. Lol, I'm bummed we won't be in the trailer but a little relieved. We've never stayed in the trailer in the winter and if anything went wrong, I really wouldn't know what to do. So the cats and I would be screwed. I was reading that Minnesota gets snow as early as October. So we will also see how that all works out.
