August 23rd

 We were making our way back to Patti's and when we hit Vermillion there was a pretty decent storm. The sky looked truly insane. Almost like a torpedo splitting the sky or some sort of very dark tunnel. I've never seen the sky like this before. We pulled over and waited out the storm. The cats were freaking out. 20 minutes and we were on our way. We ended up taking the trailer to Patti's so we could empty out what we weren't taking on our next trip. It started to storm again. So I waited it out until I'd start cleaning out the trailer. I did 3 loads of laundry. Packed up everything we weren't taking and got it back in the house or in our storage pile in the basement. I also deep cleaned the trailer the best I could. Once it hit 9pm there was another storm. There was lightning from 9pm-4am. Non-stop, hardly any thunder, just really bizarre.
