August 6th

Packed up and left our spot in Lander. The owners came by to say goodbye. The cats were fine when they got in the car. Once we started to drive they were not okay. About 15 minutes went by and they settled down. They were finally getting the hang of moving around in the truck. Now it feels we are at square one. Or maybe square two, since it wasn't as bad as the very beginning.

The litter box is always on the ground in the backseat. I've seen them pee in it before. Cherry forgot where it was or just really had to poop because she had a crazy "uh-oh" look on her face as she scrambled around and pooped on the blanket in the backseat 😃 No big deal though. I had a plastic bag and picked it up before she tried to hide it herself. Nothing was on the blanket. So just a little spot treatment until we are at the next stay with a washer and dryer.

Got to our stay in Rolling Hill, WY. We stayed at a Harvest Host- the town hall. They had left a goodie bag for us. With koozies, stickers, magnets, and a pin. Lots of literature on the town and what to do nearby. We were right against their town park. It was a nice and quiet stay. Saw a few antelope. Whomever messaged me on Harvest Host mentioned that the antelope this year almost all had twins. We saw one baby. Walked their little park and watched sunset. It was a nice stay.

The cats definitely knew it wasn't a long stay because they were walking around anxious the rest of the day.

It was nice getting there at a decent time and not driving for so long. I went to get groceries at a local grocery store and saw a little of the surrounding towns. Rolling Hills is a town with no businesses. 427 people and when you pulled in by their town sign there were 500 some mailboxes. Assuming they were all the people in the town lol.

Played some dominoes and then went to bed.

A storm rolled in late at night

It was nice to see grass again lol

There was this interactive game. You picked which game you wanted to play and if you wanted 1 or 2 players. It was pretty cool.

All set-up. The park bathrooms were right there too. Which was nice.

Sat on the swings and watched the sunset while the local dogs roamed the streets barking lol.
