August 21-22 2023!
The campground we stayed at in Indiana was nice with a lot to do if you fish. We just wanted to relax and since the heat and humidity was so high we just wanted to sit in the A/C lol. We noticed the crazy colors of the sky when everything in the trailer had a pink hue. So we walked a bit and thankfully we were on the side with less people and no neighbors. We had access to the lake and all the tent camping spots. Which were not occupied so it was nice to check them out.
Woke up and packed fairly quickly. Neighbors were asking about our sway bars. Joe explained it all to them. Cats were fine once they had a squeeze treat. The drive wasn't bad at all. This Harvest Host has 30amp hookup. We are in the wooded spot and it is super nice. This guy has his house, a guest house, a huge garage, 5th wheel, pool, chickens, a few acres with a walking trail, and 2 spots to host RVers. There's a farmers market right on the corner as well. We went there and picked up some strawberry rhubarb jam, strawberries, corn, local honey, and green tomatoes. I've already sampled everything, so good! I feel like I've been eating grease for three days so this was nice. The chickens hangout right by the trailer and Cherry likes to watch them. When I took her outside she had a little stare down with one but then they went on their way. There's a dump station not far from here since we are using the toilet this time. This will be the first time driving and going to a dump station lol.
We donated $20 for use of the electric and for staying here. They put the money towards their Thanksgiving. They host a whole dinner for the less fortunate right here on the property. They cook everything themselves. I think that is so cool.
We are going to make dinner and watch a movie based in Ohio. The cats didn't go to their hiding spots when back in the trailer. They're acting like they know they're back in Ohio. Maybe they do know lol. Tomorrow we are going to drop the trailer off at Joe's uncles house and then go drop the cats off at his moms. We will go back and clean out the trailer and get ready to reload with winter stuff. I'm so happy it's getting closer to cooler weather. I can thrive again lol. I'm also excited to get my car and drive again. I miss the little civicnator lol.
