August 11th Moving Day

Packed up and headed out a little before noon. The drive this time was super windy and the cats didn't have a good time. Figaro was super stressed and panting. Cherry was screaming. I don't know what changed but they're not happy with the truck anymore.

This is our third harvest host stay. It was at the Pioneer Auto Museum in Murdo, SD. Check in was before 4pm and we just made it. The museum closed at 6pm so the owner had us buy a ticket and do what we could then come back the next morning to finish. It was 88 degrees out and we don't have a generator. No A/C. Thankfully we are still where it's dry and not humid. With all the windows open and the crazy amount of wind, it wasn't too bad. Night time was a lot cooler. We all survived.

Played dominoes and went to bed.

They built this themselves and went coast to coast! So cool especially for being in the 1920's!

Old Good Sam sign

Look at them!

How cool this would be back then!!

RVers today have the map with the stickers you put on when you've been to that state. This is similar but way cooler.

Figaro after a travel day "I can't go on much further...."

There were 2 others with us over night.

A looooong wooden car. Crazy.
