Nebraska
Our host last night ended up inviting us over for a nice dinner with them and their friends. We all told stories about our travels along with the horrors of travel. We walked the campground and came across a lot of neat stuff. The place was huge and everyone here is always zipping around on their toys. Even all throughout the rain.
July 2nd- Packed up and Joe changed two of our tires before we headed out to our next place in Nebraska. Everyone from last night stopped by on their way to The Fence-Post and said goodbye. We made it one hour into the drive before people started pulling in front of us and putting on their hazards. Another guy honked and pointed to our tires. We pulled off and sure enough another tire blew. We don't have any other spares but the patched tire. We put that on and went to a campground right off the highway. We don't want to drive 300 miles on the patched tire. Not sure why this keeps happening. Everything we read says it's low pressure, bad driving, going too fast, too hot, so on. We don't drive above 60mph sometimes not even 55mph. We always check the pressure of our tires and they're never too low. We used to think they were too high but they are at 65 and reach 80 while driving. The first time this happened Joe let air out of the tires. We didn't know that was a bad thing, but maybe that's what is causing this. We have replaced basically all the tires that we did let air out of while in Alabama. This recent blown one should be the last one. All the tires places are closed because it's Sunday so that's why that wasn't an option. We called the place we were supposed to stay at and let them know we won't make it. Hopefully tomorrow we can get tires and make it to the destination with no more issues.
