July 30th
There's an old movie theater in downtown Lander. We always pass it and haven't been to the movies in awhile. There were no movies we wanted to see until the other day. Sound of Freedom. The theater is small and has a little concession area, two bathrooms, one theater room, and a balcony. The balcony has been closed for years now. The seats were comfortable and there were maybe 8 of us in the actual movie. The ceiling has water damage and looks like it may fall apart at any second lol.
I've known about trafficking and the role America plays. I just never looked into it too much because I don't want to know. It's just awful. The movie was as expected, hard to watch. Based on a true story. The guy who saves the children is Tim Ballard. The case goes back to 2013. A government agent who quit his job to stay and rescue more children. He said his wife supported him throughout all of it and was the inspiration on this mission. He was away from his family for a long time. He also started the Underground Railroad organization. "God's children are not for sale"
I recommend everyone go see the movie.
