528 more miles to go
Woke up super early and called a bunch of tire places. No one carries the tires we needed except for ones made in China. So we went back to Discount Tire because they always have them. Waited four hours for four new tires. I was very nervous while driving. I finally calmed down around the third hour. Joe is super paranoid because we didn't know about the last blow out. So now there's no for sure way to tell. Until people start beeping or something. We should buy those sensors so we can check the trailer tires while in the truck. But, even if they were about to blow, what do you do to prevent it? Immediately change the flat and put the spare on and go to a shop? I wish there was a way to prevent it all together. We don't want to keep wasting money on tires.
Well we made it to McGreer. We were to come here yesterday but this is a very old school campground. They have you pay once you're here so we were able to still come and just pay for the one night. We are on a working ranch right on the border of Nebraska and Wyoming. It's super nice here, less humidity. We met the barn cat, Bob, which is the main reason I wanted to stay here 😂 He brought along two more friends. They were super shy. Bob is older and laid back. He stood by my side the whole time I was guiding Joe where to go. The cats noticed the other cats a little bit. Their main focus was on the cow smell. Along with the other smells, all new to them lol. Very windy here and cooler so we had all the windows open. Bob and his one friend stayed on our picnic bench for awhile before leaving. I hope they have nice beds and blankets to sleep on lol.
The moon tonight was crazy looking. So pretty. It's much more quiet out here and I love it.
I'm excited for our 4th of July plans tomorrow! Hopefully all goes well on the way there! This is a short drive, this time.
