Toilet is fixed!

The plumber we called came a little early. Which was nice. Turns out the black tank did empty and we were basically just shoving water into the toilet and cleaning it with soapy water for hours on end. I thought that was hilarious. The guy probably thought we were fools 😂 He told us to call him if we ever have a real problem and he didn't charge or anything.

We went to Adventure Distilling Company on the lookout for some moonshiners. JB was Popcorn's really good friend and they made shine together here in Cosby. JB went legal once Popcorn died and he makes some shine for this distillery. A lot of people said you can meet a moonshiner or two when you come here. So we gave it a shot. Way better than Ole Smoky! Not as touristy at all. A nice big and open outdoor area. Everyone was super friendly. Our bartender was cool and told us a lot about her growing up in the mountains. She was upset that they're making even locals pay for parking in the Smokies. Her family and church use the pavilions in the parks from time to time for gatherings. She even pays for the special plate that goes towards helping the park. Not including our taxes dollars 😅 We don't really like the Smokies lol.

This place also has a Summer kick-off that is happening tomorrow. The day that we leave😢 There will be live bluegrass. We would have loved to seen bluegrass be played in the mountains!

We went back to Cosby campground to play in the water lol. Joe has been on the lookout for hellbenders so we also went looking for those for an hour or so. The mountain water is so magical.

We went to the hippie place that I wanted to check out, Cosmic Ties. Such a cute place! The owners are an older couple that live in Cosby and have been open for ten years. The wife makes all the tie dye prints so we had to get one. Mushroom, of course. Local artists also sell their handmade items here. The older guy working was funny. We hung out with a him a little.

There's a hole in the wall bar across the street that we had to check out. They only sell beer. No liquor, food, anything lol. Everyone there was awesome. Especially our bartender. He grew up in these mountains as well. He had a photo album from the 60's that were his own polaroids that he showed us. There's dollar bills stapled all over the walls and ceiling (I've dreamed of bars like this lol) with signatures and what not. A lot of people hiking the Appalachian trail come here when they come into town and have a beer. I saw a few dollar bills representing ones who are hiking currently.

This is our last night in Gatlinburg!
