May 3rd 2023!
We are back in the trailer! After taking care of a lot of things that had to be done before going full-time.
Our first campground is still in Ohio and close to Joe's Mom's house because we aren't 100% free until May 15th. Waiting on something important to come in the mail.
We got here on May 1st.
The employees here are super nice and helpful. They gave us a pull through site (our first ever) for the price of a back in one. There's a beach by the swimming lake. You can also fish here. They have laundry and church services on Sunday.
Setting up was easy. We weren't as rusty as I thought we might be. Everything ran smoothly. The only thing not working is our kitchen sink. Which isn't awful, but I miss the convenience already. The pipes don't seem to be leaking anywhere. I honestly think there is something dead and stuck inside the pipe.
We dropped my car off at my aunt's to be stored. We got all of our belongings into the trailer and put away. The cats were the last stop. Cherry peed on her blanket in her carrier. She then hid in my lap. She hates the truck so much and I don't know what to do about it. Figaro doesn't like the truck but he puts up with it. Once they were inside the trailer they were fine.
On Tuesday I went grocery shopping. For dinner I made mushroom tacos with an avocado sauce that I made up.
I got my blender and threw in;
1/2 cup water
2 minced garlic cloves
1/2 a cut up cucumber
1 whole avocado
Dash of cut up red onions
Dash of honey
Dash of salt
Dash of sugar
Squeeze half a lemon
Some parsley
Blend and it actually turned out amazing.
We finished 7th Heaven. I am going to miss all of the characters lol.
Cats slept with us all night. We ran out of propane and we didn't want to get any until tomorrow. So we had electric heaters, blankets, and kitties to keep us warm.
Today is Wednesday!
I woke up and make coffee with our hand crank coffee grinder and our new little pour over coffee device. The coffee wasn't so bad. I definitely need to figure out the perfect way to make this little set-up work. I want to turn this into a part of my little morning routine. I also made waffle, egg, cheese sandwiches.
Joe went to get a bunch of his errands done today. I stayed home and deep cleaned everything. I organized all of our things. The trailer already feels so much better now.
Joe is going to hook up the sewer today as well. It's been raining here in Ohio for a week straight. We were going to wait for the rain to let up but I don't see that happening.
I'm going to make mussels with mashed potatoes and salad for dinner today. Catching up on some 'office' things as well.
