Laundry Day

The laundry room here is the nicest one I've been in so far. Huge. The washers are brand new and extremely high tech lol. You can even pay with card. Or they have QR codes you can scan and it'll take you to some site to pay. They have the big dryers that take 20 minutes to dry your stuff. I don't know why but checking out the laundry rooms at our campgrounds is one of my favorite things to do lol.

We went to Cosby Campground so that we could do Gabe's Mountain Trail to Hen Wallow Falls.

Funny story; I saw this trail on TikTok and when I was planning our Tennessee trip I planned it around staying in Cosby. I was hoping we could stay at Cosby Campground but they don't have any hook-ups. Looks like a gorgeous park to camp. I heard really good things about the trails.

Even funnier- Our friend, that we met when we were in Michigan 3 years ago, works at a campground in Tennessee. He's been asking us to let him know when we are ever in Tennessee so we can all meet up. He just so happens to work at the Cosby Campground. Which is 20 minutes away from us. Small world.

The hike wasn't as bad as Ramsey. Still not fun. The waterfall was okay. I don't know, something about Ohio waterfalls are just better 🤷 We couldn't really get up to the waterfall to touch the water and stuff. Can't get behind the waterfall or to the top. The waterfall is pretty though. On our way back down to the car we went on a tiny trail off to the side. Looked like a lot of people go over there. Found a grave, Sally Sutton. Looks more like someone put her ashes there and they just recently got a stone. This reminded me about Popcorn Sutton (there was a distillery on the way here that is basically dedicated to him) the biggest moonshiner boooooootlegger! Joe and I have been meaning to watch his PBS special. And of course he ran all of the moonshine stills in Cocke County Tennessee. Which is the county we are in. I've been trying to find out who Sally is to him, if anyone. I can't find much but it seems she's a relative from 1829.

The toilet paper we got on our last Walmart run was different from what we usually buy. The packaging still said boat and RV safe. Joe said the last two times he dumped that the tank got clogged. It would eventually push itself out. Well not today. We've tried everything. Joe watched some guy use his bigger hose to kind of move around the gray tank water into the black tank (not both valves open, just the gray, shut, then open the black) We probably did this 35 times. We just got done for the night, 11:15pm. We will try again tomorrow morning. If this doesn't work we will have to call whoever the porta potty guys are. Joe knows the legit name, I know nothing lol. Once this clog is taken care of we are never using this toilet paper again 😅

The whole time we were outside I could hear Cherry running around and screaming. Every time I came back inside to check on the water levels she would fling herself at me with eyes the size of moons. I think she thought we were going to drive off and leave or something. She was so worried. So of course, that stressed me out and I couldn't really focus on trying to help Joe.

So for tonight we will be using the restrooms here if we need them. The restrooms are a small walk from our trailer. It's down a tiny sidewalk and most of the trailers along the way have cute lights out so people can see the walkway at night.

Fingers crossed the clog will be fixed early tomorrow so we can do something else on our Tennessee list. We only have two more full days here!
