September 2nd
Slow day. Cleaning, applying for jobs, working on building a platform on Instagram, laundry, finished reading Verity. SUCH A GOOD BOOK!
Went to Mineshaft with our new friends. Had dinner. Went to the Saloon for a few beers and met a great man, Bruce. Finished What Happened To Jack Kerouac.
September 3rd
This is the busiest I've seen this campground. So we have neighbors again. They're nice.
We went to the Dickerson County Fair today. Biggest Little Fair in the U.P. So busy. Too many people lol.
It was fun though. We saw the animals and the exhibits. Had sweet corn (IT'S CORN! I put butter on it and everything CHANGED!) Watched the Lumberjack Show. They had an older guy going against a younger guy. The older guy was better at the skilled activities and not the physical actives. I thought that was kind of unfair but they were both good sports. The younger guy won.
The announcer was a 12 time world champ. He was a great announcer lol.
Then we played some Bingo. We LOVE Bingo! We are always the youngest by 40 years, but that makes it even better. They had a few bands. We were able to catch The Descendants. They had to be in their early 20s. Such a good band. They played great music and the singer was amazing. Got some cinnamon sugared nuts and headed out. Started to watch The Grateful Dead. I've watched over 15 movies/shows on them. I can't get enough. I'm still so thankful to this day to be able to experience the Dead & Company. Best show of my life, so far! Shakedown street before the show is the best! The gilled cheeses afterwards, amazing.

Spent a lot of time outside with Cherry today. Went to watch the Ski-ters water ski show at Badwater on the Menominee River. They were very good. They had all age groups. Very entertaining. Two of the people are going to Orlando to compete in the world championships this October. Many of them have been doing this for 5+ years or are generations of water skiers. The girls team was named the Wisconsin state champs. This is also the 100 year anniversary of water skiing. The jumpers are also nationally ranked and literally wrote "How to Ski Jump for Dummies." This was the last show of the year so they had some recognitions and little skits.
Going to make dinner over the fire and hangout with some of the neighbors before they leave.

How fun!!
