Today we went to Lume dispensary to look around. This is more of a chain dispensary. I can't help but to think what the older generation of hippie's must think about this. They either LOVE that they are living in the same lifetime where they can legally buy weed. Or they either got in trouble with the law back in the day for something that is now legal. That would be pretty upsetting lol.
Went to a place called Memorial Gardens which didn't have anything good. So we went to Iron Mountain City Park. A lot of cool stuff here. There's a cross-country ski trail system, a deer enclosure full of deer and geese, disc golf, playgrounds, bocce ball, and dog parks.
On the way back to camp we stopped outside the WW2 Glider and Cornish Pump Museum. This is something we will be doing later on this week. We also went up the Resort Mountain area to the war memorial. There's an area where you can view the sunset by the ski slope. There's also 500 steps leading down the huge ski jump hill. We walked down them and back up. What a workout! The ski jump tower is huge! Maybe 15 stories on top of the hill. Then we headed to the bat viewing area and the Mine (Minnie Mine Bat Cave) where they roost. Saw A LOT of bats and partially walked the trail. Looked like some really good mountain biking trails parallel to the walking trail. There is another sunset viewing area as well. We will come back one day when it is light out.
The last stop before we were done with the day was The Ice Cream Barn. Really good ice cream and such a cute atmosphere! This is in an old barn and they have seating outside and upstairs on an outside deck. You can walk up the silo to get to the outside deck as well. There's an area with a fire that you can stand around. There's also some tractors you can sit on and take pictures with. The enclosure we saw is for cows. I saw on their website that they sometimes have cows come hangout for the day. Of course we missed them by a few days!
