Finished setting up camp. I always do all the decorations and "homey" stuff. While Joe does the water, electric, hook-ups and what not. We went to Lake Antoine which is about five minutes away from us. This is a park that you can camp in though the state's website. The park even had hook-ups. Definitely a spot to stay if you were doing a weekend or maybe a week. You can bring your boat or kayak. Fishing and a playground. No trails. We saw a church party or fundraiser type thing.
There's another park super close to us. So we went to go check that out. It's called Fumee Nature Area. The map had a few trails on it, Fumee Lake, Little Fumee Lake, some historic buildings along with a natural spring! I've been looking for natural springs everywhere we go and finally coming across one was so exciting. We had a jug of store bought water in the truck and filled up. This will be a regular spot for us. Especially with how close this is!
Saw 2 crazy dogs playing in the deep black water. This area is mostly pine and fern forest. Need to fix up meh bike so that we can start riding some of these trails.
Ate some wild raspberries.
Set up the outside part of our camp. Hiked the campground's trail and got a few blackberries and raspberries. Coming back tomorrow and hopefully every other day with a Tupperware to fill up! Yum
